Han Bin

Senior Reporter

Han Bin is one of CGTN's most senior news correspondents based in Beijing. His journalistic experience spans more than two decades and touches virtually every major news event in China. He covers almost all aspects of political, economic, social, military and cultural news.

Han has travelled throughout the country to report on big stories and small ones. Among the many stories he’s covered are China’s three leadership changes, Hong Kong’s return to China in 1997, the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami, the 2008 Wenchuan Earthquake, the commissioning of China’s first aircraft carrier in 2012, and the 2016 South China Sea Arbitration. He has also produced many special series, including Quenching A Mighty Thirst, Agenda in Action, Half Empty, Exploring China’s New Frontier, and What Is China?

Han joined China Central Television in 1995. He was one of the founders of the reporting team and became its producer in 1998. For the past two decades, he has carried out a wide range of pivotal tasks, from mapping out the channel’s reporting direction, to news planning and gathering, and producing multi-part series.

Han holds an MA in TV Journalism from Goldsmiths University in London. His work has been featured on CNN World Report and he has won many national news awards.
