Martina Fuchs is CGTN Business Reporter based in Beijing. She joined the channel in 2012. She speaks 9 languages.
Martina covered major global news events, such as the G20 in 2016 and the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting in 2014 in China, and the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, where she conducted several exclusive interviews.
She produced and reported several special series including “High Flyers” featuring top Chinese business figures, “G20 Kitchen” about the group’s diverse cuisines, “Brush Hour” about China’s booming art market, and an exclusive interview series in 2014 with the central bank governors of India, South Korea, Thailand, Mongolia, and Cambodia.
Martina also is the Co-Host of the CGTN documentary “The Chinese Have Arrived” about China’s “One Belt, One Road” initiative which she filmed in Turkey, Pakistan, Nepal and Laos and will be broadcast on CGTN in 2017.
Previously, she worked for Reuters as Economy Correspondent and Financial TV Producer covering the Gulf Arab region based in Dubai, and was a Graduate Trainee of the Reuters Journalism Program in London.
She holds a Master degree in Economic History from the University of Geneva, Switzerland (2006), a Postgraduate Diploma in TV Journalism from the American University in Cairo, Egypt (2008), and an International Diploma in Humanitarian Assistance (IDHA) from the Fordham University in New York (2007).
In 2015, she graduated with a Master of Science in Global Finance (MSGF) from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and the New York University Stern Business School.
