China unveils seabed geochemical map of eastern waters

The China Geological Survey has released results from nearly two decades of marine geological surveys covering China's eastern waters, including the Bohai Sea, Yellow Sea and East China Sea. Also in this newsletter: Two Chinese sites, Changshan in east China's Zhejiang Province and Mount Siguniang in southwest China's Sichuan Province, have been officially designated UNESCO Global Geoparks at the 224th session of the UNESCO Executive Board. Meanwhile, the 15th China International Garden Expo opened on Wednesday in Wenzhou, Zhejiang, highlighting the country's push for greener urban development.
