2022 World Champion Li Xue outclassed European Champion Doreen Vennekamp to clinch the gold in the women's 10m air pistol on the opening day of the Shooting World Cup in Bhopal, India. Captain Harry Kane got England off to a flying start in their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign by firing home a spot-kick in their 2-1 win over defending champions Italy. The 29-year-old became England's all-time leading goalscorer with his 54th goal in 81 caps. Portuguese great Cristiano Ronaldo set a world record with 120 goals in 197 internationals.
