Chinese football, basketball teams edging toward a bright future

Building a deep talent pool is integral to a country’s football development. The young Chinese players’ performance in the Peace Cup last week in Shenyang, northeast China’s Liaoning Province, has given the country’s football circle good reason to believe in the future of their national teams at different levels. Meanwhile, China’s star basketball center, Zhou Qi, can finally play regularly in the 2023-24 CBA season after joining the Guangdong Southern Tigers. The sooner he can maintain a consistent form, the better he can help the Chinese national team in international events.
