Newcastle and Manchester United to go straight home after UCL exit

The group stage of the UEFA Champions League finished on Wednesday. Sixteen teams have advanced to the next phase. Eight others who finished third in their groups will play in the UEFA Europa League. The eight remaining teams will head home. Two Premier League clubs, Manchester United and Newcastle United, belong to the final category, and they have only themselves to blame.
