Jeff Moody

Jeff Moody has been working in television news for nearly thirty years. He began his career at Independent Television News in London, before becoming an Entertainment Reporter and Breakfast News presenter at Channel Five News.
For three years, he reported for the BBC's cult showbiz program Liquid News, before moving to ITV's Meridian Tonight as Consumer Correspondent.
Moody then took a break from the industry to run his own hotel, restaurant and wedding venue, before returning in 2013 to help launch Arise News, an international news station based in London. He worked as a program editor and anchor at Arise News until 2016.
His other television highlights include a stint as an actor, a children's TV presenter, a weather man and a travel host.
Moody moved to Beijing in October 2016, to anchor News Desk broadcasts at CCTVNEWS, the predecessor of CGTN.
He is currently learning Chinese and making the most of his time in China.
His hobbies include the theater, horseback riding, reading and cooking. In 2013, he wrote and directed a play that toured the UK.
