- Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said on Friday that Israel will receive harsh punishment following Israeli air strikes on Iranian targets earlier in the day.

- The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed early Friday that it had launched a "preemptive, precise, combined" attack on dozens of military targets, including nuclear targets in different areas of Iran.

- Iran had launched more than 100 drones towards Israel following the Israel Air Force's operation, said the IDF.

- The IDF said Israel's operation resulted in the killing of the three most senior Iranian military commanders: Chief of Staff of Iranian armed forces Mohammad Bagheri, Chief Commander of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Hossein Salami, and Commander of Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters Gholam Ali Rashid.

- U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio denied any U.S. assistance or involvement in the "unilateral" attack, adding that Israel had told Washington that it believed the strikes were necessary for its self-defense.

- China is deeply concerned about Israeli attacks on Iran and calls on relevant parties to act in ways conducive to regional peace and stability, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson said on Friday.
